Lee Caroline Mackey

Lee Mackey is a fine artist, embroiderer and illustrator working between Seattle and Olympia, Washington. With a background heavy in art history, they hope to weave new narrative from ancient sources of symbolic imagery. They are interested in the different ways art displays utility, both in the most pragmatic sense, and to facilitate communication, but also as ritual objects that connect us. With the goal of blurring lines between high and low art, practical items and the highly substantive, they hope to make art that is worthwhile.
